Maysville's Who's Who
Phila M. Staley is buried next her infant son, Hiram. From the way the dates and ages match up, she must have died in childbirth. She died February 14, 1862. Her son died 5 months later. She was the second wife of Solomon Staley, the first Sheriff in Franklin County. Solomon's first wife also died giving birth and he later married Melissa Ann Lacy.
